Some deck projects are more than just a deck. This project began with running 220 volt electric to deck area, then we poured a concrete pad for the hot tub. The shape of the deck was created to add interest and to allow for the gathering of friends. The height of the pointed wing of the deck as well as the stairs provide for plenty of casual seating during back yard events. Additionally, we added light posts with coat hooks that provide a place for hanging robes and towels. The stairs incorporated built in lighting for ease of access even when the adjacent lights are not turned on.
